About Lancome Fragrances

About Lancome Fragrances

Lancome was founded in Paris in 1935 by Armand Petitjean — a perfumer and entrepreneur who had previously worked at Coty and who shared with his contemporaries a belief that fragrance and beauty were not luxuries for the few but pleasures to be made available to women everywhere. At the 1935 Brussels World Exposition, Lancome launched five fragrances simultaneously — an audacious gesture that established the brand's ambition from the outset. The rose, drawn from the gardens of the Chateau de Lancome in the Loire Valley, was adopted as the house's emblem, and it has remained the enduring symbol of Lancome's feminine elegance ever since.

Today, Lancome operates as part of the L'Oreal Group, one of the world's largest beauty conglomerates, and its fragrances are crafted in collaboration with some of the industry's most celebrated noses. Jacques Cavallier, responsible for the luminous J'adore for Dior, worked on Lancome projects; Dominique Ropion, one of the greatest perfumers alive, created La Vie Est Belle — a fragrance that became one of the best-selling perfumes in the world within years of its 2012 launch, built on an unprecedented accord of iris, praline, and patchouli that redefined the gourmand floral genre.

Lancome fragrances are defined by their accessibility and their femininity — compositions that are consistently elegant, expertly crafted, and designed to be worn and loved by real women in real life rather than simply admired from a distance. Tresor, Miracle, Hypnose, and La Nuit Tresor each represent a different facet of Lancome's vision of French femininity: warm, dreamy, sensual, and joyful in equal measure.

At Fragrenza, our Lancome-inspired fragrances capture the Parisian femininity, the warmth, and the accessible elegance of these much-loved perfumes — celebrating the Lancome spirit at a price that makes daily wear a simple pleasure.
