Collection: Sycamore Fragrances

The perfume note of sycamore unfolds with the quiet character of the great American plane tree, Platanus occidentalis. It is a woody note that recalls the nutty, earthy scent of platanus bark and leaves: dry and gently smoky at first breath, with a toasted, almost hazelnut-like warmth emerging beneath. As it develops, soft green and faintly mossy facets appear, evoking dappled shade, papery peeling bark and autumn leaves underfoot. Less creamy than sandalwood and less austere than cedar, sycamore occupies a mellow middle ground.

It pairs naturally with vetiver, oakmoss, tobacco, iris and amber, lending parks-in-October atmosphere to woody and chypre compositions. The mood is calm, bookish and quietly rooted.
