Collection: Takamaka Fragrances

Takamaka brings the scent of the Indian Ocean shoreline into perfumery — the note is inspired by the broad-canopied takamaka tree (Calophyllum inophyllum) that lines the beaches of the Seychelles, and by the famed tamanu oil pressed from its nuts. Its aroma is warm and woody-nutty, with earthy, faintly spicy and resinous undertones and a soft balsamic richness reminiscent of toasted seeds and sun-heated bark. It feels tropical without being fruity, lush yet grounded.

The note pairs beautifully with coconut, vanilla, sandalwood, solar accords and salty marine nuances, lending body and exotic warmth to beach-themed and woody-oriental compositions. The mood is barefoot and unhurried — shade, sea air and warm timber.
