About Mugler Fragrances

Thierry Mugler established his fashion house in 1974, bringing to it a theatrical, futuristic sensibility that would later define his approach to fragrance. From the very beginning, Mugler was not content with the conventional — his designs were sculptural, otherworldly, and provocative, and when he turned his attention to perfume, he applied the same boundary-pushing ethos with spectacular results.

In 1992, Mugler launched Angel, a fragrance that changed the course of modern perfumery. Angel introduced the world to the gourmand category — a previously unexplored territory combining sweet, edible notes like caramel, chocolate, and patchouli into a scent that was simultaneously comforting and intoxicating. Its iconic star-shaped bottle became as famous as the juice within. Angel did not simply sell well; it redefined what a perfume could be and inspired an entire generation of sweet, dessert-like fragrances that followed in its wake.

The success of Angel led to Alien in 2005, another landmark creation housed in an amethyst-colored jewel bottle. With its bold jasmine sambac, Cashmeran, and white amber, Alien struck a different chord — mysterious, otherworldly, and deeply sensual.
