About Nina Ricci Fragrances

About Nina Ricci Fragrances

Nina Ricci was co-founded by Maria Nielli, known as Nina, and her son Robert Ricci in Paris in 1932. The house quickly established itself as a symbol of feminine elegance — softly romantic, refined, and unmistakably French. Where other fashion houses pursued bold modernity, Nina Ricci championed a gentler, more poetic ideal of femininity: dresses that floated and draped, and fragrances that whispered rather than shouted.

The house launched its first fragrance, Coeur Joie, in 1946, in partnership with the legendary glassmaker Lalique — a collaboration that would define Nina Ricci's approach to beauty. The iconic dove-adorned bottle of L'Air du Temps, launched in 1948, became one of the most recognized fragrance flacons in history. L'Air du Temps itself — a delicate carnation and rose soliflore with warm base notes — became a worldwide phenomenon, remaining a bestseller for decades and cementing Nina Ricci's place in fragrance history.

The house has continued to evolve, launching modern classics such as Ricci Ricci, a vivid floral-woody feminine, and the Nina series — bright, apple-inspired creations housed in whimsical apple-shaped bottles that have charmed a new generation of fragrance lovers. Each release maintains the house's DNA: romantic, approachable, and beautifully presented.

At Fragrenza, we pay tribute to Nina Ricci's legacy of gentle elegance by offering inspired-by interpretations of their most cherished fragrances. Our versions capture the floral softness and timeless femininity of these iconic scents, so you can enjoy the romance of Nina Ricci every day without the couture price tag.
