Collection: Argan Tree Fragrances

The perfume note of argan tree evokes the hardy, gnarled tree of Morocco's sun-baked southwest rather than the oil pressed from its kernels. As a fragrance idea it is woody and green, sketching rough bark, leathery leaves and dry desert air with a faintly nutty, fruity undertone recalling the tree's olive-like fruit. It opens with an arid, sunlit freshness, then deepens into warm, slightly resinous woodiness. Its character is earthy, natural and quietly exotic, grounding compositions the way the tree anchors its landscape. It pairs well with cedar, vetiver, amber and gentle spices, conjuring argan groves, ochre earth and clear Moroccan light.

About Argan Tree Fragrances

The Argan tree — Argania spinosa — is an ancient, thorny species endemic to the semi-arid regions of southwestern Morocco and western Algeria, where it has grown for 80 million years. A keystone species of the Moroccan landscape, the Argan tree is as much ecological guardian as it is economic lifeline. Its gnarled, drought-resistant form has become iconic — and its distinctive wood carries a scent of the ancient, sun-baked landscape it calls home: dry, slightly earthy, faintly resinous, and distinctly mineral.

As a fragrance note, Argan Tree — distinct from the more commonly known Argan oil — captures the woody, dry character of the tree itself rather than its precious oil. Its olfactory profile is arid and earthy: a dry woodiness with mineral undertones and a very slight dusty-resinous quality, evoking the stony soils and hot sun of the Moroccan Anti-Atlas. It adds an authentically North African dryness and naturalness to woody and aromatic compositions, grounding them with earthy depth.

Fragrenza celebrates the rich olfactory heritage of North Africa, where the Argan tree is a living monument. Our fragrances featuring dry, woody accords inspired by this remarkable landscape offer an accessible olfactory journey to one of the world's most singular environments.
