Description

Burberry was founded by Thomas Burberry in 1856. He went on to invent a fabric called gabardine, which was then patented by the company. It was known for being weatherproof, breathable and sturdy for wear. The tielocken, a predecessor of the modern trench coat, was also patented by the brand in 1912. The brand has designed outerwear for Olympians and soldiers in WWII. By 2012, they had a range of apparel, fragrances and beauty products. They are one of the first fashion companies to become an ethical trading brand. They have clothing, accessories and fragrances for men, women and kids in their product lines.
