Collection: Ho Wood Fragrances

The perfume note of Ho Wood unveils a warm, woody aroma that captures the calming essence of this Asian tree. It begins with a sweet, slightly floral scent, reminiscent of rosewood, offering an aroma that's both soothing and uplifting. This initial softness is layered with a hint of peppery spice, echoing the tree's relation to the camphor family. As the scent evolves, it reveals a strong, woody undertone, embodying the tree's tall, sturdy presence in nature. The Ho Wood note infuses fragrances with a sense of serene tranquility and grounding depth, its scent capturing the peaceful ambiance of a far-eastern forest.

About Ho Wood Fragrances

Ho wood (Cinnamomum camphora var. linaloolifera) is a variety of the camphor tree native to China and Taiwan, closely related to the tree that also yields rosewood. Prized for its exceptionally high linalool content — the same aromatic alcohol responsible for the soft, rosy-floral character of lavender, bergamot, and coriander — ho wood essential oil has become an important and sustainable ingredient in perfumery, particularly as a responsible alternative to rosewood.

The scent of ho wood is elegant and refined: predominantly rosy and softly floral thanks to its dominant linalool content, with a warm, slightly woody base and a clean, mildly camphoraceous freshness in the top notes. It is quieter and more understated than rosewood, with a smooth, natural character that blends seamlessly into compositions without overpowering. Its quality is unmistakably botanical — fresh, warm, and genuine.

Ho wood is valued in floral, woody, and oriental perfumery for its versatility, naturalness, and the graceful rosy-woody depth it imparts. It pairs beautifully with rose absolute, geranium, sandalwood, and light musks. Fragrenza's Ho Wood collection showcases premium dupes of the world's most exquisite rosy-woody fragrances — refined botanical luxury, accessible to all.
