Montale was founded in 2003 by Pierre Montale, a perfumer whose formative years were spent in Saudi Arabia creating bespoke fragrances for the royal family. His deep immersion in the culture of the Middle East — its reverence for oud, rose, and rich oriental accords — profoundly shaped his artistic vision. When he returned to Paris to launch his own house, he brought that Eastern sensibility with him, fusing it with Western perfumery craft to create something entirely unique.
