Description
Juniper is a conifer of the genus Juniperus of the cypress family. Junipers vary in size, ranging from small shrubs to large trees. The fruit grows seed cones with fleshy, fruit-like berries that can be red-brown or orange in color, although they are usually blue. The berries are very aromatic and are generally used as a spice. Juniper berries are used as a flavoring in gin.
